NON-FAIR CAMPING - Camping is available for a cost of $15.00 per day (water & electricity included). No reservation needed except during the fair.
FAIR CAMPING - has to be reserved in advance, limited spots are available. Campers from the previous fair get the right of first refusal prior to May 15th. If they chose not to camp, their spot will be filled with names on the waiting list. Contact the fair office to get on the waiting list, (641) 236-7959.

PAYMENT: Payment of ½ of rental fee is required either at
the time of the reservation or 30 days prior to the reservation date or
renter may pay the security deposit to hold their reservation. If payment
is not made 30 days prior to the rental, the reservation will be canceled.
Any cancellation of a rental date by the renter must be done 30 days prior
to the rental date or renter will forfeit ½ of the rental or deposit fee.
SECURITY DEPOSIT: A security deposit of $150.00 is required
for the rental of the exhibit building and the ProLine building. Outside
rentals will require a deposit of $300.00 or $1000.00 depending on the
type of event. This will be determined by the Poweshiek County Fairboard.
When a $1000.00 deposit is required it must be in the form of a money
order, cashier’s check or cash. A $250.00 security deposit is required for
using the shower house facilities. The security deposit and rest of the
rental fee must be paid when the key is picked up or before doors are
unlocked. $10.00 will be charged each time a special trip is made to
unlock doors for renter. Security deposit will be returned when it is
determined that all things are clean, in order, undamaged and key
returned. Keys must be returned with 24 hours following rental or security
deposit will not be returned. ALL RENTERS WILL BE FINANCIALLY LIABLE FOR
ANY AND ALL DAMAGES ABOVE AND BEYOND THE SECURITY DEPOSIT.
INSURANCE: Renter is responsible for carrying liability
insurance. Low coverage events (without alcohol) requires a $300,000
minimum. High coverage events (those where alcohol is served) requires a
$1,000,000 minimum. A copy of certificate insurance is to be presented before keys will be
given. Certificate must have alcohol provider on the policy if
alcohol will be served.
RENTER RESPONSIBILITY:
1. Care is to be taken when using tables, chairs etc. owned by the
association.
2. Heavy or sharp items are not to be pushed across the floor and are to
be set on protective covering.
3. No machines/engines with gas, diesel fuel or oil permitted in exhibit
building.
4. NO SMOKING IN THE EXHIBIT BUILDING. NO ALCOHOL ON THE FAIRGROUNDS
WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL BY THE FAIRBOARD!
5. Posters, notices etc. are not to be on the doors, walls or panels. The
bulletin boards are to be used for this purpose.
6. Grounds and all buildings are to cleared of refuge accumulated during
rental (this includes sidewalks). Trash cans are to be emptied and trash
taken out to the dumpster. New garbage bags will be furnished and are to
be place in trash cans after they have been emptied.
7. Renters are to sweep floors and wipe up spills. Kitchen counters and
tables are to be wiped clean. Building and grounds are to be left in the
same condition they were in prior to the rental. Monroe tables are to be
wiped clean if dirty.
8. Any gates or panels used for outside rentals are to be put back in
place.
9. Renters have use of only the building(s) being rented. Other buildings
are not to be used without permission.
10. DO NOT use any type of glue or hot glue on the walls, tables or
chairs.
11. No screws, nails, tacks, staple, hooks are to be used on the
walls, floors or ceilings.
DUMPSTER USE: Only trash and items accumulated during the
rental period are to be put in the dumpster. Renter is not to use the
dumpsters for disposing of their personal trash from home or business.
No large items such as furniture, bed springs/rails etc. along with
paint or combustible items are to be put in dumpster. Only garbage from
the Kitchen & Bathroom cans is allowed. $50.00 will be charged for
disposal other then basic Kitchen & Bathroom garbage.
RENTAL FEES:
TABLES
Tables & chairs located in the exhibit hall will be included with rental
of the exhibit building. Renters may bring in their own tables to use.
OUTSIDE VENDORS:
Any events such as flea markets, craft shows etc. that have vendors set up
outside will be charged $10.00 per vendor.

Exhibit Building - Alcohol Served (Wedding Reception or Anniversary
Only, All Other Rentals Must Have Board Approval)
The Poweshiek County Fair Association will not be responsible for thefts
committed or accidents occurring on the fairgrounds or in buildings. The
Association reserves the final and absolute right to interpret all rules
and regulations and to arbitrarily settle and determine all matters,
questions and differences connected with or incident to the buildings
and grounds.
RENTERS WILL AGREE TO COMPLY WITH THESE GUIDELINES OR FORFEIT DEPOSIT AND
POSSIBLE FUTURE RENTALS.
